TASC Intro Class (Ranges E3-E9)

1. THIS EVENT IS FOR MEMBERS ONLY
2. MEMBERS MUST HAVE ATTENDED THE MANDATORY GEAR CLINIC ON FEBRUARY 3RD TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS CLASS
 
The focus of TASC (2-Gun Tactical) is the introduction, development, and practice of rifle and pistol skills applicable in self-defense situations. TASC is a skills development activity, not a competition.
 
All attendees, please arrive by 8 am to set up the bays. Without your assistance, we will not start on time. 
 
You must be present for the safety brief at 08:45 to be eligible to participate. There are no exceptions to this.

Fundamentals, Rules, Procedures and Equipmenet Discussion - Range time follows on Bullseye Range

 

The clinic includes:

  • Classroom instruction: 9:00 - 11:30 in the Rifle/Pistol building
  • Range practice (optional): 12:30 - 3:00 on the Bullseye Range
  • Lunch is BYO (we will be collecting $$ at the clinic from anyone who wants to go in on pizza/pop)

This clinic is free and open to the public. Shooters of all ages (over 10yrs) and skill levels are encouraged to attend.

  • When: 9:00 AM, April 6, 2024
  • Where: East side Classroom (Action Sports Building)

  • What to bring: ear/eye protection, pistol, and 100 rounds of ammo if planning to participate in range practice (Either Rimfire or Centerfire capable of holding 5 rounds minimum.)  Some loaner equipment is available, specify need when registering.

Members and guest are welcome.  Guest will be issued a card (one per individual/group) in the Shotgun Building.  Guest pricing is $9 per game.  Must have a driver’s license and credit/debit card to obtain and use a card reader card.  Puller tips are appreciated, so please bring cash for tips.  Come to the skeet/trap/5-stand field with:

  • Any gauge shotgun
  • Safety glasses
  • Hearing protection and boxes of target load lead or steel ammunition in shot sizes 7 1/2, 8 or 9.

Shooters may share a shotgun on this course. Please locate one of our Pullers (in Orange) upon arrival. The field is on Rueff Rd, Waterman, Illinois and has a sign that says skeet/trap/archery.
