Access for Nonmembers/Group Events

Many events and activities are open to the public. Check the Upcoming Events listing and the Club Calendar for more information. The Aurora Sportsmen's Club (ASC) offers a variety of supervised access options for groups and individuals who are not club members. The ASC Special Programs Department offers many group activities, fundraising events and training opportunities for nonmembers accompanied by our Range Safety Officers and Certified Instructors. In 2018 we will again be scheduling: Handgun Practice Sessions, Shotgun Basics Classes, Holster Draw Clinics, and Sporting Clays Clinics.  We will also be adding rifle sight-in days in August and September.

Package Deals 

Our "Shotty Blast" and "Clays Commander" private event packages can include: firearms for use, ammunition, safety equipment, professional instruction, on-field coaching and clay targets on one of our shotgun fields.

The "Weekend Warrior" private event package can include the use of modern handguns and/or rifles, professional instruction, ammunition, on field coaching, targets and safety equipment on an outdoor shooting range reserved for your group.

Groups are usually from five to twenty five participants, depending on the type of activity. Customization is possible; ask us and we'll give you some options.

Sporting Clays Course 
Nonmember groups of five or more shooters can request self-service access or instructor-accompanied shooting by appointment. ASC has a challenging 100-target walking course with a variety of presentations in native prairie and wild pheasant habitat. Send a message to groupevents@aurorasc.org for pricing and availability.

More Information: ASC does not offer range rentals or open shooting access to the general public or unsupervised range time for individuals who are not members of the club. 

 
Facilities: The Aurora Sportsmen’s Club is a gated, private, 2500-member shooting club organized as an Illinois Not-for-Profit 501(c)(7) Corporation dedicated to Shooting Sports, Conservation and Education. It is the oldest and largest private shooting sports club in Northern Illinois. Facilities include: outdoor rifle/pistol ranges from 50 foot to 600 yard distances; Shotgun Sports trap fields, skeet fields, 5-stand and sporting clays course and archery ranges. Many classes and events are open to the general public.


All nonmember groups using ASC ranges must agree to certain terms and conditions which are provided in advance. ASC reserves the right to deny range use to any nonmember or group without explanation or cause.
