In 2018 our volunteers will once again offer our monthly handgun basics sessions with supervised shooting practice for men and women age 18 and up. 8:30am Spring “All Clays” Shotgun Event - Open to members and non-members. 100 Targets, Four Games: 5-Stand, Trap, Skeet and Teal.  Come to the Shotgun Sports area with any gauge shotgun, safety glasses, hearing protection and at least 4 boxes of target load lead or steel ammunition in shot sizes 7½, 8 or 9. Walk-ins and non-competitors welcome anytime from 9am to 3pm. Preregistration optional to Shotgun@AuroraSC.org.

8:30am Learn to Hunt Program – Open to the Public. The Hunter Recruitment Program provides FREE education and training workshops to teach adult participants how to hunt. Cowboy Action Shooting! Come join the Kishwaukee Valley Regulators at ASC on the first Sunday of each month April through November 2018. Springfield 1903 Class

Military Surplus Rifle Maintenance Class. Disassembly/cleaning/reassembly class for Springfield 1903, Mosin Nagant, Mauser K98k, and Enfield bolt action milsurp rifles.

March 24, 2018 beginning at 11:00 am at the Clinton Township Community Center. Open to the public. ASC Volunteer staff will walk you through how to care for your WWII rifles. The class will be held at the Clinton Township Community Center in downtown Waterman, IL. 

Don’t have a rifle but want to come anyway and learn a thing or two? You’ll be welcome.

We provide: cleaning rod, paper towels, Hoppe#9, patches, screw drivers, etc. for all to share. Please feel free to bring your own supplies, too.

Youth Programs

The Aurora Sportsmen's Club is pleased to offer young shooters (ages 10-17) the opportunity to develop their shooting skills and start or make progress on Winchester/NRA Marksmanship qualification programs in Pistol, Rifle or Shotgun disciplines. 

These programs can be used by all scouting programs to make progress and complete requirements for their Archery and Shooting Sports awards and badges.  This includes, but is not limited to Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, American Heritage Girls and Trail Life.  Please bring your records of completed prerequisites if you have them.

All ASC Youth programs are open to the public.  Details and flyers for 2018 programs are available by clicking on the "Youth Programs" tab at the left side of the page.
