2013 Outdoor Matches

The 2013 Outdoor Season starts on April 14th 2013 starting about 10:00am, and continuing on the second Sunday of each month.  Shooting on these matches should be completed by 2:00pm unless arrangements have been made with Allison to finish later.  

Pick up targets, pay fees ($1 participation fee for members, $4 participation fee for non-members, and $4 per match) and turn in targets to Allison.

CENTERFIRE & RIMFIRE CLUB PISTOL

The following rules apply to the monthly club pistol matches, both ‘A’ and ‘B’ class.

GUN: Any pistol Any caliber center-fire or rim-fire Single shot, revolver or semi-auto
SIGHTS: Any sights Metallic, any (open, peep, etc.) Electronic, any (dot, laser, etc.) Telescopic, any type
DISTANCE: 25 yards. 
TARGET: ASC ‘Club’ target 
STANCE: Free standing. (Cannot lean against bench, posts, etc.) One-handed or two-handed grip permitted. 
COURSE OF FIRE: 5 Targets, 5 shots in each target with no time limit. Unlimited sighters on pre-marked sighter club target 
SCORING: Point scoring. High score- high X 250-25X maximum. 
OTHER: An average of the best six yearly matches or known ability to regularly score 210 or higher moves the shooter to the ‘A’ class the following year.

CLUB EIC Match

In conjunction with the monthly Rifle/Pistol matches, we will be holding a Club "Excellence in Competition" match at 1:30 on the second Sunday of each month on the 25 yard range. These will be practice matches and will not be CMP registered, but will follow the CMP's modified EIC match format (all targets will be fired at 25 yards on B6 targets). To encourage participation, we will allow any .45 semi-auto pistol with open sights or any 9mm with open sights (CMP requires one to use either a 1911 or Beretta M9/92FS).  Cost is $5 for ASC members, $8 for non-ASC members. The course of fire is 10 shots slow fire (5 minutes), followed by two timed fire strings (5 shots in 20 seconds), followed by two rapid fire strings (5 shots in 10 seconds) - 30 shots total. 2013 NRA Approved 1800 Bullseye Match

For 2013, ASC will once again be hosting two NRA approved 1800 conventional pistol matches.  These will be NRA approved, so scores will be submitted to the NRA for shooter classification purposes.  We hope to include a EIC pistol leg match as part of these events.

2013 NRA Approved Bullseye League

ASC will once again be hosting an NRA approved outdoor conventional pistol league in 2013.  We encourage new and junior shooters to join us.

When: Fourth Saturday of each month between April and September, starting at 9:00 (we will shoot on the 2nd Saturday in September to avoid a conflict with ASC's annual Zombie shoot).
